My Personal Approach
My approach to helping clients is integrated from my own history and training.
I integrate a number of mainstream counselling and psychotherapy theories from attachment, mindfulness, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Person Centered, Gestalt, trauma and neuroscience. As well as private practice I have worked in a number of places such as the Transport for London Counselling and Trauma Service, a GP referral Service and an NHS Occupational Health Psychological Well Being Service. This has given me a great deal of experience and opportunity with a wide variety of people and their concerns and problems.
My Areas of Specialism
My main specialism is to help people recover from traumatic experiences in their life. I believe these are often the cause of other more common problems such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobia's and relationship problems.
Sessions are held in a studio in my garden. It is a purpose built, safe, quiet, confidential space for you and I to meet. It is heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer.
The path is one level but there are two steps up to the doorway as can be seen from the photograph. Toilet facilities are available in the studio if required. Entrance is via the garden side gate.
